  • Peche: the fish is amazing and the menu features wood grilled food. similar to cochon in vibe and menu layout

  • Pizza Delicious: hip pizza mecca in the Marigny/Bywater neighborhood- this is a really cool area to walk around!

  • Acme Oyster House: classic oyster institution

  • Verti Marte: many a bartender has suggested a stop here for muffaletta

  • Willa Jean: delightful bakery and cafe

  • Maple Leaf Bar: but only if Rebirth Brass Band is playing, worth researching before your trip

  • Tipitina'sanother good spot for live music

  • Jackson Square & Frenchman Street: two great areas to go out in and listen to music

  • Igor's Checkpoint Charlie: a must see, it’s a dive bar with a laundromat inside

  • Napoleon House: old and touristy but kinda cool, go for a drink during the day

  • Cane and Table: rum cocktails and Cuban food

  • Kingfish: there is an old timey bartender here named Chris McMillan. stop by if you are into history. he's a living legend
